Waunakee Neighborhood Connection

At the Waunakee Neighborhood Connection Store, everything we carry, including clothing, furniture, household items, toiletries, etc., is provided free to our families in need that live in Waunakee and the surrounding area. We never charge a fee for any of our items.

Arboretum Drive is located in Waunakee’s Arboretum Industrial Park, and we are Southeast of the Culver’s on Main Street (Hwy 113/19), or directly west of Arboretum Elementary School and Crossroads United Methodist Church.

General Store Hours for Clients
During the school year, we are usually open every third Wednesday of the month from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the last Monday of the month from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and one Monday night a month from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Months with holidays or school functions may be different, so please check the calendar.

For the summer, we are generally open only two shopping days a month, the first Monday night from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and the third Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  Due to the July 4th holiday, we typically move July’s Monday night shopping to the 2nd Monday night.  Again, please check the calendar for specific dates and times. 

Store Hours for Donations and Volunteers

During the school year, we are usually in the store on Mondays and Fridays, typically from 8:30 a.m.  to 12:30 p.m..  Because we are solely volunteer run, our schedule changes with the school district schedule, if there is no school, we are not open.  We are also susceptible to family illnesses, so check the calendar and feel free to call us at the store: (608) 849-5740.

During the summer, we are typcially open the first, second and fourth Wednesdays of each month from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. 

Throughout the year, if we are not open, you can drop off your donations at the Waunakee Police Station, a WNC drop-off location.  The Police Station is located at 205 Klein Drive, Waunakee, WI, just north of the Post Office.  The Police Station is available for drop-offs Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
